Solar Site Assessments

Determining utility scale development options up-front

Atlantic provides an in depth review of site-specific zoning requirements, senisitive environmental restrictions and preliminary utility limitations to provide you with the knowledge you need prior to investing in project permitting or utility interconnection studies.

SSA Process:

1

Complete a feeder inquiry with the local utility to determine a preliminary capacity for renewable installation in the area.

2

Complete an in-depth review of local zoning bylaws to determine permitting strategies and limitations. If authorized, Atlantic intitiates dialogue with local officials regarding utility scale project viability.

3

Review and assess available state geographical information systems as well as available historical local plan submittals to determine preliminary development sizes and restrictions.

4

Using information acquired from Step 2 & 3, Atlantic prepares a SSA Development Site Plan indicating acreage of development, setbacks, preliminary MassGIS wetlands and other relevant information. This process also allows for a streamlined conceptuial design and/or Interconnection Application Site Plan after completion of the SSA process.

5

Atlantic then provides a final report narrative indicating results of the Solar Site Assessment. Relevant information includes permitting requirements including a permitting matrix, development restrictions as well as a preliminary SSA Development Site Plan. Our narrative will also include an estaimted system size for your site and an assessment of the utility preapplication report results.

After receiving the final SSA Report you will have all necessary available information to determine both viability and development options for your project.
